Chicken Waling Recipe

Fried chicken breasts in a paste of ginger garlic and gramflour

Ingredients:

16 chicken breasts
1/4 cup gramflour
15 gms ginger paste
15 gms garlic paste
1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp pepper powder
15 gms chopped spring onion
Breadcrumbs as required
Oil
3 tomatoes, sliced
A few sprigs mint leaves

How to make chicken waling:

Mix all the ingredients, except breadcrumbs and oil, and apply to the chicken pieces.
Roll them in breadcrumbs and deep fry in hot oil till done.
Serve with tomato slices, garnished with mint leaves.
Serves: 4
Time required: 25 minutes

Kathal Tikka Recipe

Ingredients:

250 gm jackfruit (kathal)
1 piece ginger (adrak)
8-10 garlic buds (lahsun)
4 green chilly (hari mirch)
1 onion (pyaj)
1/2 cup sour curd (dahi)
1 tsp salt (namak)
1 tbsp gram flour (besan)
oil for frying
1 tbsp vinegar (sirka)

How to makekathal tikka:

Cut jackfruit l into small pieces.
Grind ginger and garlic buds.
Finely chop green chillies and onions.
Mix jackfruit, ginger, garlic paste, curd, salt and vinegar and leave it for 2 hours.
Then cook in a pressure cooker and then grind.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry onion.
Then add jackfruit mixture and mix green chilies also.
Now make tikkis of the above mixture.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry all tikkis.
Serve them hot.

Prawn Pakora Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup prawns, shelled, deveined, washed and boiled
1cup gram flour
1 cup mustard oil
4 cloves garlic
4 green chillies
1 onion, chopped
1" piece ginger
2 tsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp soda bicarbonate
1/2 tsp chili powder
salt to taste

How to make prawn pakora:

Grind the prawns, onion, chillies, ginger and garlic in a food processor.
Add a little water if needed.
Mix the above paste with the gram flour, soda bicarbonate, turmeric and chilli powders and salt.
Heat the oil in a deep pan.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter in the oil and fry till golden colour on both sides.
Serve hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.

Tandoori Paneer Pakora Recipe

Here's a spicy, tempting paneer pakora recipe that can be served as a snack to your guests. Learn how to make tandoori paneer pakora.

Ingredients:

250 gm cottage cheese (paneer)
2 green chilly (hari mirch)
2 onion (pyaj)
1/4 cup curd (dahi)
2 cup gram flour (besan)
a pinch baking powder
1/2 tsp red chilly powder (lal mirch)
1 tsp salt (namak)
a pinch orange colour
oil for frying

How to make tandoori paneer pakora:

Cut paneer, hari mirch and pyaj into small long pieces.
Mix dahi, namak, lal mirch, baking powder and orange colour in besan and make a thick batter using water.
Heat oil in a pan.
Dip a piece of paneer, hari mirch and onion in the batter and deep fry in oil.
Sprinkle some tandoori masala on all pakoras and serve them hot.

Tangri Kebab

TANGRI KEBAB RECIPE
Cook Time: 20 Minutes +Time to marinate

Microwaved chicken drumsticks served with onion rings and lemon wedges.

Ingredients

500 gm chicken drumsticks
1 cup hung yoghurt
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp green chillies- chopped
1 Tbsp coriander leaves- chopped
Garnish: Lemon wedges and onion rings to serve on the side

Method

Prick the drumsticks with a fork or make slashes with a knife.
Mix together with all the ingredients, except onion rings and lemon wedges.
Leave marinated for 4-5 hours, or even overnight.
Place an upturned saucer in a dish and arrange the drumsticks over it in a circle, with the thicker sides outwards.
Cover and cook at HI for 5 minutes, turning once.
Cover and cook on HI for another 3 Minutes.
Uncover and cook at HI for 2 Minutes.
Let it stand for 5 minutes before serving with onion rings and lemon wedges on the side.
Note: If you have browning mode, cook it uncovered, first on HI for 6 minutes, then on grill for another 6 minutes. Cooked without oil but you can brush it with some before the last 2 minutes.

Paneer Achari Tikka

Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 10 mins Total Time: 20 mins

Ingredients:

For The Achaari Marinade:

1 tbsp green chilli pickle
1/2 cup hung curds (chakka dahi)
1 tsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/4 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
1/4 tsp nigella seeds (kalonji)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tbsp mustard (rai / sarson) oil
salt to taste

Other Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
oil for greasing and cooking

For Serving:
dahiwali mint leaves (phudina) chutney

Method
For the achaari marinade:

1. Combine all the ingredients, except the curds in a mixer and blend to a coarse mixture.

2. Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl, add the curds and mix well.

How to proceed:

1. Add the paneer to the prepared achaari marinade, mix gently and keep aside to marinate for 20 minutes.

2. Arrange the marinated paneer cubes equally on satay sticks and keep aside.

3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle), grease it with little oil, place a few satays on it and cook on a medium flame, using a little oil, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.

4. Repeat step 3 to cook more satays.

5. Serve immediately with dahiwali phudina chutney.
